Create a Wow grew out of a personal "aha moment." I was speaking to a college roommate whom I hadn't seen in at least 10 years. She kept saying, "Wow, I can't believe you've written a dozen books.... Wow, I can't believe you have so many web sites, and you do all of this with 6 children!" As she was saying this, I thought, "it's really no big deal... I've just been doing what I enjoy doing and one thing has led to another." I was telling her about the various people who have entered my life in pivotal ways - the friend who taught me to program web sites, the friend who introduced me to my book distributor, the friend who helped me get my first book published, and the friend who showed me how to get my latest novel on the Barnes & Noble Best Seller list.

Each of these people came along at pivotal moments. There is no major "wow" in my life that hasn't been preceded by a person who brought me to it - who in essence showed me the ropes. By the time the wow moment happened, it didn't feel all that "wow" anymore. What once seemed impossible was now not only possible but the next logical step.

That brings us to Create a Wow - the objective of this site is to introduce you to people who have done extraordinary things. My hope is that this site will be pivotal in helping you achieve your dreams by allowing you to spend a little time with people who have done what you hope to do. Before you can achieve great things, you have to believe and expect to do them. People interviewed and featured on Create a Wow are people who have "been there and done that."
